Nigerian award-winning singer, Temilade Openiyi, aka Tems, has come under attack over her outfit at the Oscars 2023. She was wrapped in what appeared to be kilometres of white tulle, which featured a bridal-esque headpiece. Her elaborate outfit blocked the view of some attendees who sat at her back at Sunday night’s Academy Awards.
The singer has been dressed at the white sculptural gown by Ukrainian brand: Lever Couture’s AW22, Leleka Couture collection.
Lovely dress, no doubt. Tems looked great in Lever Couture, but when you go to any event, you have to think not only about dressing your butt beautifully, but also about the people around you.

At the moment, we don’t know if the girl was ashamed of such a mistake of hers and stylist. We didn’t see a blush on her black skin. We assume that she’s probably thrilled by everyone is talking about her. More than 24 hours have passed since the 95th Academy Awards, but Temilade Openiyi or her representatives still has not commented. The Representatives for Lever Couture and her stylist did not comment also.
More over, Tems told Harper’s Bazaar, in a pre-Oscars interview that, she decided to “go all out” and “make the most” of her first Oscars attendance. It looks like she got what she wanted, accept for Oscars, of course. 🤷♀️
