An independent blogger, Endy Baio, shed light on technical documents related to Bitcoin on Apple MacBook computers with macOS software. This document can be found in the skin version of macOS from Mojave (10.14.0) up to the stream version of Ventura (13.3), but are not available in High Sierra (10.13) or earlier versions.
To get to the attached Bitcoin technical description, MacBook users can simply open Terminal and enter the command:
open /System/Library/Image\ Capture/Devices/VirtualScanner.app/ Contents/Resources/simpledoc.pdf
Once recognized, the PDF file displays the Bitcoin white taper in forward-look-ahead mode.
The blogger further says that its written as a PDF file and attached under the name “Virtual Scanner II”. However, why this technical document within the Apple ecosystem remains unclear. It’s possible that it could be related to a Bitcoin enthusiast or a maximalist among Apple’s spokesmen, but nobody knows for sure. Apple didn’t comment it yet.
It’s worth noting that including the technical description of Bitcoin in macOS may simply be for some testing issues, providing retailers with a convenient and lightweight PDF file for software development or security purposes. Technology companies often include files or fictitious data intheir software for testing and demonstration purposes.
The Bitcoin technical paper, titled “Bitcoin: Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System” was published in 2008 by a group under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. It details the technical aspects andconcept of the very first decentralized cryptocurrency. Since its release, the Bitcoin whitetaper has become a widely used resource for cryptocurrency traders, crypto enthusiasts, and developers of Web 3.0. This week price of Bitcoin hit USD 30 000. The price is continue it’s growing last months.
