And now, just 15 years later, the idea has materialized in the form of the most powerful man on earth, the first man in the most powerful country in the world, the President of the United States of America.

The world community has long been watching the behavior of the one who was trusted with the majority of votes, and absolutely everything in his behavior and speech indicates that he can perform only the simplest functions. Speeches are often recorded with the help of technology and skillful editing, live performances have been minimized to a minimum in view of the fact that this function is extremely complex and the zombie is already at the stage where speech is incoherent and inarticulate, and will soon become completely impossible. The signing of documents is the most energy-consuming physical purposeful action that the President has to perform. All decisions that are made are coordinated among themselves by other members of the government. They are the real leaders of the country.

The next point is how the zombie president participates in international negotiations and who really makes decisions in the field of foreign policy. Obviously, the role of the first person of the state has been reduced to participation in ceremonies that require the presence of the head of state, and the function of signing international treaties that are developed and adopted by other members of the government.
Despite the fact that the zombie president has limited ability in governing the country, the situation faced by the whole nation and democracy in particular is without precedent. Is the zombie the same person that people voted for? Are protest moods ripening among the masses? Too many people believe that the minimum functions are clearly not enough to make the most important decisions. Also, this fact undermines the confidence of other countries, which may believe that the US is unable to properly manage its affairs.

In conclusion, while the absurdity of the zombie president situation may seem hilarious and satirical, in fact a precedent could cause serious problems for the nation. The situation with the US economy is deteriorating, the BRICS countries are gradually abandoning mutual settlements in dollars, and their GDP is greater than that of the G7 countries, inflation is still high, the US public debt is growing, and new cash injections using the printing press each time have less and less effect. And this is only part of the economic issues that the United States needs to solve in the near future. Not everything is going smoothly on the international arena either, Saudi Arabia prefers to do business with China, the issue of Ukraine and Russia has not yet been resolved, and Emmanuel Macron says in the context of Taiwan that Europe should not “follow” the US into “crises that aren’t ours”.
