Midjourney is an AI that generates images from descriptions, called “prompts”.
Today we will try to play with different styles of photo using Midjourney, having basic prompt and changing there only three aspects:
- Time period (1960s’, 1990s’, 2010s’)
- Location (New York, Los Angeles, Amsterdam)
- Clothes (Louis Vuitton, “homeless” style, suit and tie)
Prompt details:
–ar 16:9 is aspect ratio.
–v 5 means we are using version of Midjourney number 5
Ultra quality, lots of details, cinematic lighting, 8k is just to get the best quality that is possible
Octane render – there’s different engines to render the image. You can play around it too. It could be V-Ray, Arnold etc. Or you can try indicate in prompt even game engines like Unreal Engine and CryEngine and compare the result.

As you see, only three little changes make a little difference. Adding more details like bad skin for homeless person or glossy epithet can make the image change the mood or convey the details that are needed.
